Description
Vitax Slug Gone wool pellets are a natural and effective solution for controlling slugs and snails without the use of chemical treatments. Made from compressed wool fibres, the pellets expand when watered to create a thick, felt-like barrier around plants. This physical barrier discourages slugs and snails while allowing water and air to reach the soil surface.
As well as protecting plants, Slug Gone helps retain moisture in the soil, reducing the need for frequent watering and supporting healthier growing conditions. Over time, the wool naturally breaks down and releases beneficial nutrients back into the soil, helping to improve soil structure and plant growth. The generous 5 litre tub is ideal for larger gardens, raised beds, vegetable plots and repeated applications throughout the growing season.
How to use
For best results, apply Slug Gone as a 10cm band around the plant and ensure there are no gaps. To prevent slugs reaching the plants ensure no leaves or stems overhang the pot’s perimeter, stand next to containers which do not have Slug Gone protection, or place next to walls where slugs can drop onto the plant.
