Firewood for Sale Manchester | Firewood Suppliers Manchester

Because most of urban Manchester falls under smoke control areas, traditional open fires with crackling logs and glowing coals are not as easy to find as they used to be. Newer models of exempted ‘cleanburning’ wood stoves, however, are still fine to use as long as you get good quality firewood, and that’s exactly what Logs Direct provide.

Our family business understands the importance of good quality, well-seasoned hardwood, especially in your modern wood burning stove, which will become damaged if you use the wrong sort of fuel. Our hardwood is kiln-dried to below 20% moisture content, making it burn hotter and longer than an unseasoned variety.

Even better, wood is a carbon neutral fuel, and even more environmentally friendly when used in something as efficient as a stove. A single kiln-dried log can provide as much energy as three freshly cut ones, possibly more in a stove, giving you warmth that lasts. Because our logs are sourced from FSC approved forests, each tree cut down for firewood is re-planted, and the carbon dioxide released in the burning is eventually absorbed by the growing plant. You can enjoy your heating in winter while still remaining eco-friendly, and probably saving money too.

All our products come with Free Delivery in the Manchester area, and will take between 5-7 days to arrive. If you need a more urgent delivery, or have any other specific requests, then feel free to call us on 01524 812 476 and we’ll be happy to help.
